ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 44 WCF (44-40). S# 100858A. Bbl 24" rnd with original sporting sights. Full length mag. Blued finish with case colored hammer, lever and crescent steel trapdoor buttplate. It is a rifle assembled on a carbine receiver having two filler screws in the left side where the saddle ring would have been. Forearm and straight grip walnut stock. CONDITION: over 50% lightly faded original blue showing carry wear with light scratching and scattered spotted corrosion. Stocks have added finish over scattered light to moderate scratches and marks. Sound action. Bore retains sound rifling with scattered spots of light pitting. (01-28741/DS). ANTIQUE. $4,000-6,000.
